Meet the Pastor
Pastor Art Smith comes to New Hope Community Church with over 40 years of ministry experience. He's previously served churches in California, Colorado, Kansas, Indiana, and Louisiana, before coming back to Kansas where he received training at Wesley Medical Center as a chaplain. After completing the Clinical Pastoral Education Program, Pastor Smith became a full time chaplain with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, a position he held for 11 years.

Pastor Art comes with a heart for pastoral care, a love of preaching and teaching, and a rather quirky sense of humor which he's not afraid to use! He is approachable, friendly, and easy going. His preaching is biblical, laid back, and easy to understand.
He's married to Patricia. Together they bring the love and joy of Christ and a deep sense of God's presence to the fellowship of New Hope Community Church.
